Auto Number Field to Update on Duplicated Form
On the duplication of a form, if the Auto Number field is an "identifier" the duplicated form generates a new Auto Number in the sequence.

There are times when a technician needs to duplicate a form. When duplicating the form it duplicates the Auto Numbering Number. This is not able to be edited currently. It would be great that if a form is duplicated it follows the default Auto Numbering Sequence and assigns a new number to the duplicated form.

Can we reopen this as it has been almost 2 years since the original post?!

Form Numbers (WO's) should never be the same. If a call comes in questioning what work was done all you need is the Work Order number. Can you not use a Copy Form or Duplicate Form option?

We use the Auto Number field to auto populate WO#'s whenever a form is created. This feature is very useful through using the Custom Key to link all forms to spit out consecutive numbers.
The only thing is, when I want to duplicate a form - this field does not auto populate/nor is it manually editable. It stay the same as the original form.
As a company that does routine scheduled maintenance for the same equipment, at the same sites, at the same times every year - having to create new forms from the templates each couple months is very counter productive. It would be nice if the Auto Number changed upon duplicating a form OR when a form is completed VS created. If the auto number populated at the time of completion I feel like this would solve the issue.
